The Scottsdale Headache Symposium offers a weekend of engaging community experiences and education in didactic, case-based, evidence-based, panel and demonstrative formats. In-person participants can earn AMA PRA Category 1 Credits®, AAFP, and ABPN Self-Assessment Credit. Recorded sessions available via Education On Demand are included with registration. The On Demand program is also available for those who prefer to experience the meeting from home. Earn AMA PRA Category 1 Credits® when you register for this option.

Agenda Highlights
Thursday
The meeting kicks off with a full day of precourse programming, including the cadaver course at the Mayo Clinic and sessions covering cerebrospinal fluid dynamics, headache care and models, evaluation of headache syndromes in children and adolescents, vascular safety of migraine treatments, and pregnancy-related headache care. The evening closes with the Welcome & Exhibit Reception.
Friday
Friday begins with messaging from the AHS President and co-chairs, followed by an afternoon of three moderated plenary sessions. Plenary 1: Migraine: Everything But The Headache reviews the other key aspects of migraine: prodrome and triggers, aura, other associated symptoms, postdrome and interictal. Plenary 2: Advocacy focuses on headache medicine support and influence efforts for national policy (Headache Act), underserved communities, and international initiatives. Plenary 3: Technology and AI in Headache Medicine explores how emerging tools are transforming diagnosis, treatment, and patient care in our field. The afternoon also features the Frontiers in Headache Research Award presentation, where recipients share their award-winning research. Attendees can further build community and collaboration Friday evening at the Exhibit Hall Social and the SIG Fair.
Saturday
Saturday morning begins with the Society favorite Miles for Migraine, where participants can run or walk to raise money for headache research. Morning programming continues with Plenary 4: Pharmacology Clinical Conundrums, which digs into real-world treatment challenges across acute migraine treatment, preventative treatment, cluster headache, idiopathic intracranial hypertension, and trigeminal neuralgia. You can bring these practical, case-driven insights back to your practice!
Saturday’s remaining programming includes six concurrent sessions throughout the day. These sessions offer moderated discussion and demonstrations for topics such as: headache medicine considerations for aging populations, de-prescribing in pediatric and adult patients, nerve blocks, impactful research publications, and headache-adjacent disorders.
The last session of the afternoon, ICHD-4 Update from the International Headache Society, gives attendees the latest news on international classification in headache disorders. The evening ends with the ever-popular Wine and Cheese Reception. Don’t miss a wonderful night of delicious eats, fabulous wine, and celebration among colleagues!
Sunday
The final day of the Scottsdale Headache Symposium begins with Breakfast with Experts, an intimate learning experience on topics like concussion, CSF disorders, practice management, procedures, and more. Our final event, Plenary 5: The Dizzy Patient, provides education on the diagnostic approach for patients experiencing vestibular migraine, PPPD, and other vestibular disorders.

AHS offers group discounts for organizations sending two or more attendees from the same location. Registration for group discounts must be submitted together via email with acceptable forms of payment. A discount of $25 per attendee will be applied after the first attendee pays full price.
