About the Rotation
Our headache elective at the South-East Center for Headaches provides 3rd and 4th year medical students with focused experience in the evaluation and management of headache disorders across the age spectrum (pediatric and adult patients) at a dedicated Headache Center. Students will work alongside 6 specialized headache providers (3 MD, 1 NP, 2 PA) , gaining exposure to a wide range of primary and secondary headaches, as well as procedures such as botulinum toxin injections, nerve blocks, trigger point injections, dry needling, and infusion therapies for acute and preventive treatment. The rotation is outpatient and occurs at our center in Sandy Springs (northern suburb of Atlanta).
