The Headache, Migraine & Concussion Centre (HMCC) is seeking a neurologist, headache medicine specialist or pain-trained physician whose established practice includes chronic migraine management and related interventional procedures.

Practice Overview
HMCC is an established, community-based specialty clinic located in Ajax, Ontario, within the Greater Toronto Area.
We provide compassionate, evidence-based care for adults living with chronic migraine, headache disorders, concussion-related headaches and selected chronic pain conditions. Many of our patients come to HMCC after experiencing persistent symptoms and difficulty accessing specialized care.
Physicians joining HMCC can begin caring for an established patient population without building a practice from the ground up.
Clinical Focus
The physician’s practice may include:
- New patient consultations and comprehensive headache assessments
- Management of chronic migraine and other primary or secondary headache disorders
- Assessment and management of concussion-related headaches
- Medication management and treatment optimization
- OnabotulinumtoxinA (Botox) treatment for chronic migraine
- Peripheral nerve blocks
- Trigger-point injections
- Longitudinal follow-up and interdisciplinary care planning
Required Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Hold an MD, DO or equivalent medical degree
- Be registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO), or be eligible to apply
- Hold appropriate Canadian or US specialty-board certification
- Have established experience assessing and managing headache or chronic pain conditions
- Demonstrate existing training, recent experience and competence for any procedures they intend to perform
- Be eligible to obtain Canadian work authorization
- Be committed to compassionate, evidence-based and patient-centred care
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, administrative staff and referring providers
Ontario Registration for US-Trained Physicians
US-trained physicians certified by an approved American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Association specialty board may be eligible for CPSO’s streamlined registration pathway.
Qualifying physicians may receive a provisional certificate permitting independent practice within their CPSO-approved scope without completing additional Canadian specialty certification or examinations. Eligibility is determined individually by CPSO.
HMCC can provide clinic and position documentation to support the applicable application processes.

HMCC is located in Ajax, Ontario, approximately 35 kilometres east of downtown Toronto.
Ajax offers convenient access to Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area while providing waterfront trails, established neighborhoods and a more relaxed community setting. The clinic serves patients from across Durham Region and surrounding Ontario communities.
