About the Program

The Headache Medicine Fellowship is an extensive, specialized training to manage patients with various headaches. Fellows will gain expertise in diagnosing and managing patients with all types of headache disorders, specifically migraine, and other primary headache disorders. They will identify secondary headache disorders and collaborate with specialists. Rush has partnered with Diamond Headache Clinic, a renowned headache center with unique resources to utilize the most current treatment modalities and multidisciplinary approaches to outpatient and inpatient management while incorporating alternative approaches in patient care. Elective rotations are available in sleep medicine, pain clinic, and physical medicine and rehabilitation. This is a one-year, UCNS-accredited program, and graduating fellows will be eligible to sit for the UCNS Headache Medicine Certification.
