Find Your 2025 Headache Medicine Rotation

American Headache Society Medical School Rotation Finder

AHS is proud to announce that we have launched our Medical School Rotation Finder. This is a nationwide directory of neurology elective rotations focused on headache and craniofacial pain that are open to visiting students from other U.S.-based medical schools. The directory is designed to help medical students find institutions offering headache-focused training and get experience in headache medicine early in their career, and features programs such as Mayo Graduate School of Medical Education, Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital, and Yale University.

The Medical School Rotation Finder allows students to browse and filter rotations by region, institution, and focus (adult vs. pediatric headache), then view each program page to learn about prerequisites, rotation duration, and other key details, including information about who to reach out to.

These rotations offer more than just exposure. They include hands-on experience in headache evaluation, advanced therapies, procedures such as nerve blocks or neuromodulation, and care for a wide range of headache and facial pain disorders.

AHS will continue to maintain and expand the Rotation Finder directory to make headache medicine exposure more accessible to more medical students across specialties and regions. For leaders of programs that are not yet in the finder, please fill out the submission form and provide the necessary information, so that we can add it to our directory.
