Since the inaugural meeting in 1970, the Scottsdale Headache Symposium® continues to be a successful venue for providing practical, clinical, evidence-based information on the diagnosis, management and treatment of headache patients. Education is presented in didactic, case-based, evidence-based, panel and demonstrative formats over the course of four days.

PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE
At the conclusion of the program, participants will be able to:
- Apply knowledge of the diagnosis, epidemiology, and treatment of headache disorders in adults and children in clinical practice and research
- Apply cutting-edge approaches to the assessment of outcomes in clinical practice
- Develop strategies for the treatment of refractory headaches
- Incorporate processes to enhance office workflow, safety, and confidentiality
ACCREDITATION STATEMENT
The American Headache Society® is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
CREDIT DESIGNATION STATEMENT
The American Headache Society® designates this Other (live and recorded sessions) activity for a maximum of 47.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity
The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology has reviewed the 2022 Scottsdale Headache Symposium and has approved this activity as part of a comprehensive Continuing Medical Education (CME) activity, which is mandated by the ABMS as a necessary component of Continuing Certification.
The AAFP has reviewed 2022 Scottsdale Headache Symposium and deemed it acceptable for up to 47.25 Live AAFP Elective credits. Term of Approval is from 11/17/2022 to 11/20/2022. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

- Once all activities are completed, click on “Access 2022 CME Statement of Attendance” to download/print your CME Statement of Attendance.
- Please note: The maximum number of credits is calculated based on attending all live and watching all recorded concurrent sessions. Some CME sessions are only offered live and will not be recorded.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION
In-person registration includes admittance to all educational sessions (except where noted), the exhibit hall, continental breakfast and refreshment breaks each day, and several evening receptions during the event. In-person registration also includes access to the virtual experience.
Virtual registration includes access to educational sessions (live-streamed and on-demand), a virtual exhibit hall, and the ability to connect with all attendees. The pre-courses will only be available on-demand, beginning Tuesday, November 22, 2022.

HEALTH AND SAFETY
The American Headache Society® (AHS) is actively monitoring the health and safety guidance from the Centers for Disease Control as well as state and local health departments. AHS requires attendees to abide by any applicable rules of conduct or local or state laws that may be announced at any time before or during the event, which may include wearing personal protective gear, engaging in social distancing, agreeing to temperature checks or COVID-19 testing requirements, or providing proof of COVID-19 vaccination status. More information on the health and safety for this event will be published closer to the start of the event.
All registrants will have to attest to being fully vaccinated at least two weeks prior to arriving for the event. Additionally, you may have to produce proof of vaccination when you arrive at the meeting.
FORMS OF PAYMENT
Credit cards are the preferred method of payment. AHS accepts Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. AHS reserves the right to charge the correct amount if different from your calculated total. Charges will appear on your statement as “AHS Registration.”
Checks are acceptable when registration is submitted by mail or completed onsite at the Scottsdale Headache Symposium. Checks must be made payable (in US dollars) to the American Headache Society and issued by a US correspondent bank. The registrant is responsible for any and all bank charges. Mail to:

Cash and Travelers Checks (US dollars only) are accepted for onsite registration at the Scottsdale Headache Symposium. Please do not send cash or travelers checks through the mail.
GROUP DISCOUNTS
AHS encourages you and your colleagues to take advantage of the discounted fees available when two or more from an organization (same location) register for the meeting. Registration for group discounts must be submitted together (by mail or fax) with acceptable form(s) of payment. A discount of $25.00 per attendee (after the first attendee pays full price) will be applied.
LETTERS OF INVITATION
If requested, the AHS will send a personal invitation for participation at the Scottsdale Headache Symposium. This invitation is only meant to assist participants in raising travel funds and obtaining a VISA. This is not a commitment on the part of the AHS to provide any financial support.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Requests must be submitted via email no later than Thursday, October 31, 2022. Once the cancellation is processed, all fees paid less a $100.00 administrative fee will be refunded. If paid by credit card, please allow up to five business days for the credit to show in your bank account. THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS AFTER THE OCTOBER 31 DEADLINE.
MOVING FROM IN-PERSON TO VIRTUAL EXPERIENCE
Attendees wishing to move from the In-person to Virtual Experience due to health, inability, or discomfort with traveling may change their registration at any point with no penalty.

How do I claim CME for attending in-person or virtually?

How long will the material be available online?
The Symposium content will be available for up to six months for registered attendees. We anticipate the material will be available until May 26, 2023.
I was going to attend in person. Can I switch to virtual?
Yes! Let us know if you want to switch and we will update your registration. There is no difference in cost.
What do I need to attend virtually?
You can attend using either a computer with speakers/headphones or a smartphone and an internet connection.
How much content will be streamed live?
About 80% of the content shown at the Symposium will be live streamed to the virtual audience. Those sessions, along with the approximately 20% of remaining content, will be available on-demand within 48 hours of the session via our mobile app/virtual event platform.
Will the Pre-Course sessions be live streamed?
The pre-courses will not be live-streamed. They will be available as on-demand videos beginning Tuesday, November 22, 2022.
If I attend virtually, can I ask questions during live sessions?
Yes, our virtual event platform allows attendees to ask questions of the speakers and see the questions being asked by our in-person audience. You will even be able to text or video chat with any other attendee (virtual or in-person).

Shuttle Bus Schedule
From Thursday through Saturday, we will run two complementary shuttle buses between the JW Marriott Camelback Inn and our three satellite hotels (Mountain Shadows Resort, Hilton Scottsdale, and Sonesta ES Suites).
