ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, HEADACHE – NEUROLOGY, MCGOVERN MEDICAL SCHOOL
McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston’s Department of Neurology is seeking a fellowship trained Headache Neurologist at the Assistant Professor level to participate in clinical outpatient care and educational programs with opportunities for research. The position is affiliated with the McGovern Medical school, the 6th largest medical school in the nation. Position Key Accountabilities:
Clinical responsibilities would include up to five days of clinic a week. Teaching opportunities are available. Support, included protected time, is available for the development of a Headache Fellowship training program.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Qualified applicants must demonstrate a commitment to excellence, discovery and service, have potential to be outstanding in their field of expertise, and share an interest in fulfilling the common goals of McGovern Medical School at UTHealth.
• Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accredited neurology residency
• Completed headache fellowship
• Board Eligible or Board Certified by the ABPN with fellowship training or equivalent experience working in Headache Medicine
• Active board-certifications and be licensed in the State of Texas (or eligible to be licensed)
• Outstanding clinical, interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with excellent administrative and organizational abilities.
