New Investigator Telementoring Seminars

About

The New Investigator and Trainee (NIT) special interest section of the American Headache Society is committed to advancing the field of headache medicine through activities designed to enhance early career development and foster research productivity.  To this extent, we have begun a New Investigator Telementoring Seminar to facilitate in the development of the next generation of future headache leaders. These seminars occur quarterly throughout the year, and typically take place from 8-9 PM ET.

Mentoring during one’s early career is fundamental to success in academic medicine and research. Mentoring opportunities for trainees and early investigators is aligned with the goals of recruiting and retaining highly qualified investigators in academic headache medicine. The goal of these seminars is therefore to provide early career investigators with consistent access to high quality mentoring that may serve to increase enthusiasm for choosing an academic and/or research career in headache disorders.

See below for accessing available previous seminar information. To be sure you receive the invitation for future seminars, join the NIT special interest section. If you have suggestions for topics, please send your suggestions to the AHS Section Liaison.
